Stephen Berliner is a 3rd dan black belt and has been practicing judo almost his entire life. He started in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1966 and moved to the Washington DC area in 1974 and continued judo, and was highly competitive nationally. In 1990 he met Sensei Allan and has been with SportJudo ever since. He has been an integral part of the club, assisting with kids and adult classes, traveling to tournaments to represent the club and be in the corner for our athletes when needed. Thanks to his vast experience as both a competitor and coach, he is a valued and solid member of the SportJudo family.
