Eri Agena
Kids Coach
Eri is a Certified National Level Judo Coach who began her Judo journey at age 15 in Japan, alongside her younger sister, Maya, who is also a black belt. Eri comes from a Judo family—her father was on the 1984 US Olympic Judo Team, and her uncle holds the rank of sixth-degree black belt. With years of experience working with children of all ages through SportJudo and nannying, Eri is deeply committed to the development of athletes in the dojo.
As a former competitor, some of her notable achievements include:
- Gold — 2018 USA Judo National President’s Cup
- Gold — 2019 Senior Nationals (brown belt division)
- Silver and Bronze — 2019 Liberty Bell Judo Classic
- Bronze — 2019 Junior Olympic Championships
- Gold — 2016 Colorado State Championships
Now, Eri is focused on mentoring female athletes, helping to foster a supportive and empowering environment where they can thrive. She is dedicated to helping athletes build resilience, gain confidence, and reach their full potential both on and off the mat.
